Protection of personal and sensitive information is paramount and we want you to know that the information you share with us will be treated with care. Ricochet will not sell, rent, barter, or in any way share individual personal information, unless ordered to do so by a court of law or required to do so by law.

Non Identifying Information

Your IP address is an identifying number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. This number is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever you visit this website, along with the time(s) of your visit(s) and the page(s) that you visited. Collecting IP addresses is standard practice on the internet and is done automatically by many websites. In order to better aim our application efforts, we may record and tally information for the purpose of, including, but not limited to, measuring our traffic and determining origin of audience.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user that allows the web server to recognize the computer used to access the site. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any PII while on our website. There are three types of cookies, “session” cookies, “expiration” cookies and “persistent” cookies. For “session” cookies, once the user closes the browser, the cookie simply teminates. “Expiration” cookies can be programmed to expire at any time; therefore, when you close your browser, the cookie will remain on the hard drive until its expiration. And “Persistent” Cookies are more permanent bits of information that are placed on the hard drive of your computer and stay there unless you delete the cookies. Cookies are widely used and most web browsers are configured to initially accept cookies automatically. If you prefer not to accept cookies, you may adjust your browser settings to notify you when a cookie is about to be sent, or you may configure your browser to refuse cookies automatically. Ricochet may, but does not, as of the Last Revised Date posted above, use cookies.
Consent to Processing in the United States
By providing any PII, all users, including, without limitation, users in the member states of the European Union, fully understand and unambiguously consent to this Privacy Policy and to the collection, storage and processing of such information in the United States.
Children

This website supports and complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and other laws. This website is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personally identifiable information (as defined in COPPA) or data online from, or market online to, children under the age of 13. If we knowingly obtain personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information from our systems. If you are under the age of 13, please do not use this website. We will not provide a user name or password to any person under the age of 13. Every user hereby agrees that all information provided to Ricochet, including age, is truthful.
Securing Your Information
Ricochet uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your PII from unauthorized access and use. However, no website, internet transmission, computer system or wireless connection is completely secure. Ricochet cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. Your use of the Ricochet website is at your own risk. Ricochet urges you to take steps to keep your information safe by memorizing your password or keeping it in a safe place, logging out of your password secured area and closing your web browser.
